Day 1 of what I am calling “Take Back My Life” Journey

Today is like any other day except for one thing; the plan to succeed.  I lost my father this year and the emotional state in itself was enough for me to go back to my old eating habits and drinking wine. And not just a little wine, I was drinking at least two glasses an evening if not sometimes more.  I have always loved wine so this wasn’t a hard thing to do.

Today, I take my life back. No more excuses or shrugging it off or being lazy. I am still coping with my father’s death as it has been seven months since that terrible, unbearable and sudden day happened.  But today is a new day! A New start! A New Healthy Life!  I let things slide and I am back on track. Now as of today!

I will begin a nutritional cleanse program today along with healthy eating. NO sugar, no booze and no bad food for 30 days.  Of course, I intend to continue eating healthy moving forward but baby steps are a great way to start.

I am starting at the highest weight I have ever been at in my life so that tells you something.

Today is September 26, 2026.  My BIG GOAL is to lose 45 LBS before the end of March 2017.  That averages to just under 2 LBS a week. I am hoping that by writing this out for all of you to see, I will be accountable to you as well as to myself.

Wish me luck!

Setting Nutritional Goals, I Am Committed!!

I am on day 3 of a 30 day nutritional program.  I am feeling very good about the month ahead and am determined to conquer my health goals.   I also quit coffee cold turkey as of the first day so other than a bit if a headache here and there from that, I feel just fine.

Breakfast and lunch are a healthy meal replacement shake that is chalked full of vitamins, minerals and under-natured whey.  Dinner is a healthy dinner of 400-700 calorie dinner consisting of protein, vegetable and a carbohydrate.  I am always full and depending on the season, enjoy many different vegetables.

I had done this nutritional program before and although it is a lifestyle, life happened and I got off track. I had amazing results with a noticeable difference in my sleep patterns, mental clarity, lost weight and inches overall and my energy was soaring through the roof.

Today is my first cleanse day of the 30 day program, there are 4 total in the entire 30 days.  Cleansing is great in the fact that it cleanses your cells within your body and helps rid the toxins from your body.

I will be a force to be reckoned with. I WILL achieve my goals.

I strayed off the path and now back and committed as ever.  I will succeed! You can too!   Life is made of choices and if you make a wrong one and have a bad day, remember that tomorrow is a new day and a new chance!

succeed

Nutrition makes a difference

A few months I started using a nutrition program that I absolutely love and see it as being a part of my routine for the rest of my life!

I have always gone in spurts where I would exercise for months, stop for months, and start again. I continued the cycle for many years.  I was never seeing results and now I understand why!

I would do the exercise but I didn’t change my eating habits enough to see differences.   I would be frustrated because I wasn’t getting any results that I wanted or felt that I should get.  I wouldn’t eat extremely unhealthy but what I put into my mouth wasn’t an issue as I had the mindset that I should be able to eat what I like because I was doing the exercise to compensate.

Once I took the chance and made a decision to add great nutrition,  it made a world of difference.  I an fuelling my body with healthy and nutrient dense food , and now working out at the gym isn’t just something I do. I notice that I am losing inches, feel better about myself and know that with my current eating habits as well as exercising 6 days a week, I feel amazing!

I love exercising and making my body healthy.  Great nutrition makes me feel inside that I am making a difference and I want to continue aspiring to my fitness goals.  Eating well and using this nutrition program has made me feel empowered that I could do it. I am in control of my destiny, of my future, and the only choices made that affect me are me.  It has given me a higher confidence, less stress in day-to-day things and I have gained more energy than I had before as well.

If you want to change, take a chance and say #yes to whatever your goals are.  Just Go for it!

Happy to share my information if you are interested! xx

Have an amazing day everyone!

Great Nutrition+ Exercise= Feeling Amazing!

I have been using a nutritional cleansing program now since May of 2015, and feel amazing!  I was tired all of the time, had no energy, and sleep was even worse. I would lay down at night and think about everything or anything that would come to be, generally about what I have upcoming or the endless number of things I didn’t complete on my list.

In my first 30 days on a nutritional cleansing program, I lost 14.5 LBS and 35 inches, my stress was gone, and I was sleeping as soon as my head hit the pillow.  I had so much energy, there was nothing that I couldn’t accomplish. ( still feel this way today)

After the first month, I added gym workouts to the mix.   I found a free weight program on www.bodybuilding.com  and chose a 120 day program for transformation. My husband and I are working out together 6 days a week, at the gym.

I have continued to use my nutrition program as well as their whey protein and products that will help me maintain lean muscle and lose weight.  I have lost a total of 18 lbs at this time and am not done yet!

I am eating clean food and no sugar, lowered my coffee content and drink water all day long.  I drink a shake for breakfast and a meal for lunch and dinner as well as a morning and afternoon snack, with a protein shake as well.

There is a massive challenge beginning in September and if you would like information about the nutrition I am using, please send me a message on this post.

My Journey the past few months

Over the past few months, I have really learned a lot about myself. If I want something bad enough, I will stick to it and keep the goal.

I began a new nutrition cleanse program on April 1, 2013. The program was for 30 days.  Before I started, I stopped drinking coffee and diet coke cold turkey. Never in my life, did I think I could do that!  But I did and it was so simple.

I followed the program to a “T” and after 30 days, I had lost 15.5 LBS of weight and 24.5 Inches.  I was ecstatic.

I have 4 LBs back and I am not upset. It was because of my food and drink choices and solely my responsible.  Will I fret? Absolutely not!

I have finished day 17 today of Shaun T’s Insanity program and only have 50 days to go.   I am loving it. I knew it was time in April when I decided to take my health back and do something about it.  I wanted to lose weight and get back to being healthy and feeling fit so I went for it.

I am still using my nutrition program from April and quite enjoy it.

I am happy with my health, my weight and continue to work every day to ensure I am moving forward.  It won’t happen overnight and you just have to be realistic with your goals.  Aim for small attainable goals instead of long-term goals. It is easier to keep them.

It is so worth it and if I can do it, anyone can! If you are looking for a change, just do it!  And if you need motivation, email me and I am more than happy to spread the cheer!

Take care!

Insanity…… awesome!

This morning, I completed Day 5 of Shaun T’s Insanity exercise program. And I tell you, I LOVE it! (5 days of workouts)

Not only do I sweat more than I ever have in any other workout I have done, I am sore constantly from the workouts. A very good sore, which means that the program is working for me!  The program is for 60 days with one week in between as a recovery week before you begin Month 2.  (so a total of 9 weeks) The program is 6 days with 1 rest day a week.

Over the years, I have tried many programs and then stopped because I was too lazy but finally after getting my nutrition program in check, the exercise was next on my list to be added. I feel healthier and stronger knowing I am giving my body what it needs and I am so excited to work on my fitness goals as well.  Wish me luck!

Let me know if you decide to try the program out. And Good luck to you also!

30 Day results are in and I couldn’t be happier! Pictures to be added soon.

I made a decision just over a month ago to accept a 30 day bikini challenge and really try to lose some weight.  It was a nutritional program with 4 day s of the 30 days as cleanse.  I have always been skeptical about cleanses and had never tried one. (I had always wanted to but never actually did) I didn’t want to be one of those people who were sitting in the washroom all day.

Within a few days on this program, I had already noticed I was feeling happier inside and had more energy.  It was incredible.  By day 8, I had lost 4 inches and released 7.5 LBS…. again this was phenomenal to me.  I was sleeping better and had noticed my mental clarity was better.

When I measured myself again on Day 18 (10 days later than the last time), I had lost an additional 9 inches (now 13 inches) and released another 4.5 LBS. (so at day 18, total inches lost was 13 and total weight released 12 LBS.)

I was wearing pants again that hadn’t fit in years and had lost inches off my abdomen which I had never been able to do in over the 12 years since I began having children.  At day 18, I was already at my lowest weight in over 12 plus years. I was very excited!

Day 30 results are in…. I have lost a total of 24.5 inches and released a total of 15.5 LBS.

The BMI chart has showed in the overweight column for years even though I didn’t feel as if I was overweight but after this program, I am happy to report that I am now in the “normal range”.  Although I didn’t always base my weight on this chart, it was still a nice feeling to show it change.

As I head into maintenance and continue on my journey with Isagenix and using their products, I am so excited to see where the next few months take me. I intend to continue to incorporate healthy food choices into my family and make a conscious decision every time I fuel in my body.

Thanks to Isagenix, my coach Lynn Pelzer and all the motivating people who were alongside me doing their challenges as well. J  I am not done yet!

I have also taken the step and am now a consultant for this product. I love it and think people could benefit from this so if you are looking to gain better sleep, less stress, have more energy and lose weight and inches at the same, please contact me.

Let’s do it!

Cutting out the coffee

I am beginning a new challenge on Monday, April 1st. I am doing a bikini challenge! Ha! I haven’t worn a bikini since I sunbathed as a teenager.

In order to have better results from this challenge, I am cutting out coffee cold turkey.  Day 1 was yesterday and wasn’t very hard at all.

Today is day 2 and the headache hurts and has been going for hours but I am living through it.

Well worth it to be on the way to a healthier lifestyle.

In order for changes to happen, you need to be open and ready to embrace them.  I am!

For the past 8 years I have been fundraising for Easter Seals Ontario.  Easter Seals Ontario is Helping Kids with Physical Disabilities Succeed.  I participate in their annual Upper Canada Mall Easter Seals 10k Run which takes place the last Sunday in May every year.  It can cost an extra $40,000 a year to raise a child with a physical disability due to having to purchase expensive equipment, special therapy sessions and so they can send them to a wonderful camp just for them.

When I was a young girl, I worked at a summer camp as a leader-in-training and ended up spending a lot of time with a child confined to a wheelchair. I immediately wanted to help Rachael fit in with the other able-bodied children. I helped her to participate in everything everyone else was working on and not to feel left out.

Later, when I was in public school, I met a boy who was also confined to a wheelchair. Stanley was part of the special education class, and every recess and lunch hour we would play together.

8 years ago I saw the brochure for the run being put on by Easter Seals Ontario, an organization that aims to create a better life for children and youth with physical disabilities. I was immediately hooked.

Now it is my healthy addiction to raise as much money for this wonderful organization as possible. As of last year, I raised $20,000 and I’m hoping to raise another $6,000 this year.
